We’ve recently chatted with Alan Morahan (Chief Commercial Officer) of Punter Southall Aspire to discuss their dedicated service line Aspire to Retire. This is a work place delivered Financial Education programme that employers may offer their employees who are within the 50 year old and plus age group.

By working with Aspire to Retire employers are able to give these particular members of staff far greater insight into their personal financial circumstances and specifically how well they are doing concerning their pensions contributions and their prospects of achieving the comfortable retirement they are undoubtedly aiming for.

In addition, individuals are able to learn about the myriad of critical choices they will be presented with at retirement. Since the introduction of the ‘Pensions Freedom Act’ the range of choices that individuals must make is complex and making optimal decisions can greatly underpin and enhance a lifetime of pension contributions made by both the employer and the employee.

Helping your employees gather a more informed view of their retirement planning has numerous benefits for you the employer. The pensions contributions that the business pays are significant and so it makes sense to maximize this commitment in every way. Employees who feel on top of their retirement planning work better and are more likely to feel happy where they are. The good will that is generated between the business and these employees is strong and lasting giving positive feedback and enhancing your reputation as a great company to work for.
